RALEIGH — Two people were arrested on unrelated opiate-trafficking charges by Knightdale and Raleigh police on Friday and Saturday and were awaiting first court appearances Monday.
Friday afternoon, Knightdale police arrested Dayla Corine Valentine, 22, of 102 Amber River Court in Knightdale on a warrant in which Wake County sheriff’s deputies charged that she sold and delivered 46.3 grams of opiates last February.
Raleigh police arrested Anthony Leon Tucker, 48, of 6109 Mansura Drive on Saturday afternoon at a Walmart store on New Bern Avenue and charged him with having sold an informant more than 28 grams of opiate drugs.
Opiates are drugs derived from opium or having similar properties and listed in state law as being illegal to possess outside medical uses.
Valentine and Ticker were each being held in lieu of $150,000 bail for court appearances Monday.
