How will Arthur affect specific Carolinas locations?

The worst weather from Tropical Storm Arthur is expected to remain east of Interstate 95. Charlotte and other inland areas could see thunderstorms Thursday from a cold front pushing across the state, but those storms won’t be related to Arthur.

As of Thursday morning, here’s what forecasters were expecting from Arthur, beach by beach:

Litchfield, S.C.

Tropical storm warning, hurricane watch

1 p.m. conditions: 72 degrees, rain; wind north at 17 mph, gusts to 28 mph.

Thursday: 80 percent chance of storms; winds of 32-37 mph.

Friday: Storms end by 3 a.m., then sunny during the day; 87 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny; 83 degrees.

Myrtle Beach

Tropical storm warning, hurricane watch

1 p.m. conditions: 73 degrees, light rain; wind north at 16 mph, gusts to 26 mph.

Thursday: Northeast winds of 33-38 mph, with 1.5-2.5 inches of rain; highs in the low 80s.

Friday: Storms end by 3 a.m., then sunny during the day; 88 degrees.

Saturday: 20 percent chance of storms; mostly sunny; 83 degrees.

Brunswick County

(Ocean Isle, Sunset Beach, Holden Beach, Oak Island)

Tropical storm warning, hurricane watch

1 p.m. conditions: 71 degrees, heavy rain; wind north at 7 mph.

Thursday: Northeast winds of 33-38 mph, with gusts up to 55 mph in the late afternoon and evening; 1.5-3 inches of rain; highs in the low 80s.

Friday: Storms end by 5 a.m., then sunny during the day; 85 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny; 85 degrees.

Wilmington

Tropical storm warning, hurricane watch

1 p.m. conditions: 74 degrees, thunderstorm; wind northeast at 7 mph.

Thursday: Northeast winds of 30-40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph in the late afternoon and evening; 1.5-2.5 inches of rain; highs in the low 80s.

Friday: Storms end by 6 a.m., followed by sunshine; 90 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny; 87 degrees.

Surf City

Hurricane warning

1 p.m. conditions: 73 degrees, heavy rain; wind south at 13 mph, gusts to 22 mph.

Thursday: East winds of 16-21 mph during the day, increasing to northeast 35-45 mph and gusts to 60 mph in the evening; 2-3 inches of rain; highs in the low 80s.

Friday: Storms end by 7 a.m., followed by sunny skies; 88 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny; 84 degrees.

Cape Lookout Area

Hurricane warning

1 p.m. conditions: 74 degrees, rain; wind south at 15 mph, gusts to 25 mph.

Thursday: 40 percent chance of showers, with high of 87 degrees. Winds and rain increase after 3 p.m., with east winds of 60-80 mph and gusts to 100 mph at night; 3-4 inches of rain.

Friday: Winds up to 55 mph and rain in the morning, ending by 10 a.m.; sunny in the afternoon; high of 84 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny; 80 degrees.

Ocracoke Island

Hurricane warning

1 p.m. conditions: 91 degrees, partly sunny; wind south at 16 mph.

Thursday: 40 percent chance of showers, with high of 87 degrees. Winds and rain increase after 4 p.m., with east winds of 60-80 mph and gusts to 105 mph at night; 3-4 inches of rain.

Friday: Hurricane conditions in the morning, with wind and rain subsiding after 10 a.m.; some sunshine by late afternoon; 84 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny; 80 degrees.

Rodanthe (Hatteras Island)

Hurricane warning

1 p.m. conditions: 90 degrees, partly sunny; wind south at 16 mph.

Thursday: 40 percent chance of storms, with rain and winds increasing after 3 p.m.

Thursday night: Winds of 60-80 mph and gusts to 95 mph; 3-4 inches of rain.

Friday: Winds up to 60 mph in the morning, with wind and rain subsiding after noon; some sun by afternoon; 85 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny; 80 degrees.

Nags Head

Hurricane warning

1 p.m. conditions: 91 degrees, sunny; wind south at 15 mph.

Thursday: 40 percent chance of storms, with winds and rain increasing after 4 p.m.

Thursday night: Winds of 50-70 mph and gusts to 80 mph; 2.5-3.5 inches of rain.

Friday: Winds up to 60 mph in the morning, with wind and rain subsiding after 1 p.m.; 84 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny; 80 degrees.

Currituck

Hurricane warning

1 p.m. conditions: 93 degrees, sunny; wind south at 7 mph.

Thursday: 40 percent chance of storms.

Thursday night: Winds and rain increasing after 5 p.m., with winds of 40-50 mph and gusts to 70 mph; 1-2 inches of rain.

Friday: Strong winds up to 60 mph and heavy rain ending by midafternoon.

Saturday: Sunny; 81 degrees.
