Rod Phillips: Ecru, perhaps

July 2, 2014

Regarding tje June 30 article “ Raleigh seeks to ban vehicle signs”: Seriously? Vehicle signs? This is the next pressing problem Raleigh needs to spend our tax dollars solving? There are thousands of vehicles plying our streets and parking lots daily fully wrapped with advertising. But it’s this handful of small businesses parking what is usually a single-signed vehicle the city has decided to go after?

This is a perfect example of bureaucrats looking for a problem and then finding one. Apparently they have to justify their existence by continually wondering what they can stick their noses into next. Eventually, there will be nothing left to regulate except what shade of beige to paint the entire city.
