Wonderfella holds on to win Monmouth Park feature

— Wonderfella held off Jeter in the closing strides to win by a half-length in the $42,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Saturday.

Trained by Ben Perkins Jr. and ridden by Paco Lopez, the 3-year-old colt ran the six furlongs over a fast track in 1:09 4/5 and returned $4.20, $3 and $2.40. It was his second win in six career starts.

Jeter paid $4.60 and $3, while Define was 2 1/4 lengths back and paid $5.
