Statistically speaking: Most owners say running a business gives them freedom

According to the Mid-Year Small Business Wellness Survey by small-business online resource Manta, 68 percent of owners said the first half of 2014 was a successful time for their companies. Here’s more from the report:

72% Owners who said owning their own company gives them more freedom.

23% Those who said that being their own boss is the best perk of owning a business.

28% Small-business owners who said their biggest barrier is marketing and finding new customers.

16% Owners who said they can’t disconnect from the office because they worry too much.

39% Those who said the Internet is the most important piece of technology for maintaining independence as an owner.
