The Specialty Food Association is hosting a “My Story, My Ad” contest to help one small food company win a $15,000 ad campaign.

A number of North Carolina companies are in the running. You can help pick a winner. The public voting is ongoing now and ends Sunday. You can vote once a day. A panel of judges will choose a winner from among the 10 finalists. The winner will be announced Aug. 2.

Among the competing companies are two Triangle businesses: Nello’s Tomato Sauce of Raleigh, which has been hovering near the top 10, and Good Rub of Morrisville.

Other N.C. companies in the mix are Big Boss Baking of High Point, MilChap Purveyors of Charlotte (makers of a sweet potato cookie), Slawsa of Cramerton, Race City Sauce Works of Charlotte, Miss Jenny’s Pickles of Kernersville and Bumbalooza of Cornelius.
