What to Watch on Wednesday: Michael Sam honored at ESPY Awards

Michael Sam will receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 22nd annual ESPY Awards show on ESPN.

ESPY Awards (9pm, ESPN) - Drake hosts the 22nd annual event in Los Angeles, honoring the top athletes and sports performances. Michael Sam receives the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

The Divide (9pm, WeTV) - A gritty new eight-episode series set and shot in Philadelphia, focusing on the complications of the legal system as demonstrated through a controversial death penalty case. This one is definitely worth checking out.

Extant (9pm, CBS) - Molly uncovers details of her mysterious pregnancy when Sam gives her an ultrasound (alien baby alert!). Also, Kryger tells Molly about his own disturbing solo mission that the International Space Exploration Agency is keeping secret.

Sex in the Wild (10pm, UNC-TV) - Curious about the mating habits of elephants? You’re in luck. This new PBS series, examining the reproductive behaviors of animals, kicks off with a little Babar hanky panky.

The Bridge (10pm, FX) - A bizarre killing attracts attention, while creepy Eleanor enlists the help of a young boy.

Taxi Brooklyn (10pm, NBC) - A foster mother is murdered, prompting an investigation by Cat and Leo. Before long, Cat is surprised by the bond she forms with one of the foster children.
