Canes general manager Ron Francis announced Wednesday that three members of the front-office staff will have new team duties.

Darren Yorke has been named assistant to the general manager/video Scout. Yorke has been the team’s video scout since 2009. Other responsibilities have included player evaluations with hockey management, and he has led the team’s scouting meetings for the past two seasons.

Mike Sundheim, entering his 15th year with the Canes, will assume the role of vice president of communications and team services. Kyle Hanlin will become senior director of communications and team services. Sundheim and Hanlin will handle travel and team services responsibilities in addition to media relations and communications.
