Sign up now for free youth bowling event in August

The price is right on an upcoming event for kids at Buffaloe Lanes across the Triangle.

During the Youth Bowling Blastoff programs, kids will have the chance to bowl free. They'll also receive free bowling instruction and a free snack. Shoe rental is also free.

On top of all those freebies, kids and their parents will get a guided behind-the-lanes tour to see how the pin machines work.

The events are scheduled for August at five Buffaloe Lanes locations, but registration is open now and space is limited.

The program is available at the following times and locations:

*Cary: 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 16

*Raleigh: 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 2

*Garner,: 9:30 to 11 a.m. Aug. 16

*Erwin: 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 16

*Mebane: 9:30 to 11:30 or 12:30 to 2:30 August 16

Head over to http://www.buffaloelanes.com/Blastoff/home.html to register online.

Buffaloe Lanes also offers kids the chance to bowl free -- one game a day -- through Nov. 1. In addition to one free game, kids 18 and under who register for the free bowling program get free shoe rentals on Mondays, four free arcade tokens on Tuesdays, a free small drink on Wednesdays, a free second game on Thursdays and a free cookie on Fridays. Register online at BuffaloeLanes.com or stop by the lanes.
