Henry McCollum grew up in Jersey City and dropped out of school in his early teens. He's intellectually challenged, with an IQ in the 60s. Police obtained a detailed confession after four hours of interrogation. McCollum said he was bullied and pressured and confessed only to escape the confrontation with police.
