What is the goal of Feed the Need?
Feed the Need puts hunger in the spotlight. And it helps the Food Bank provide for those who would otherwise go unfed. In summer, the need for food increases but donations do not. You can help by giving food and money to Feed the Need.

Who benefits from Feed the Need?
Some of the 450,000 people at risk of hunger spread throughout the 34 counties served by the Food Bank. More than 18% of them are elderly, and a third are children.

How can I help?

• You can purchase a special Feed the Need edition of The N&O on Feed the Need day, Saturday, April 18.
• You can organize a mini-Feed the Need food drive at your company or school.
• You can tell others about Feed the Need, and encourage them to contribute.

Where can I donate food?
Harris Teeter is Feed the Need's presenting sponsor. Look for Feed the Need collection bins at Harris Teeters throughout the region from Wednesday, April 1 - Saturday, April 18.

Where can I buy a special Feed the Need edition of The N&O?
Volunteers will be at Harris Teeters, Bojangles' and freestanding Starbucks throughout the region.
