DeCock:  For a team struggling with consistency, Duke certainly didn't have a problem with inconsistency Monday. To a man, coach and players alike, the Blue Devils were remarkably consistent when it came to identifying their biggest problem.

DeCock:  As N.C. State wrapped up yet another win over Wake Forest on Saturday, a number of fans started chanting "Not our rival!" - the same chant North Carolina fans had used against the Wolfpack 10 days ago.

DeCock:  A few tanned, all rested (except for All-Star invitee Justin Faulk), the Carolina Hurricanes returned from far, wide and Ottawa on Monday to begin the final stretch of the season.

DeCock:  There isn't much in Colin Clarke's office besides a coat of beige paint on the cinderblocks. A calendar hangs on the wall; a laptop sits on his desk; a space heater warms the room.

DeCock:  The commercials for this year's NHL All-Star Game in Ottawa show the actual Ottawa skyline, unlike those last year which used a composite of buildings elsewhere to depict a made-up Raleigh skyline.

DeCock:  There was one, and only one, N.C. State offensive play for which North Carolina didn't have an adequate response.

DeCock:  With seven minutes left in a game that was already over, not long after back-to-back steals and dunks by Lorenzo Brown and with an and-one thrown in there as well, the N.C. The Wake Forest fans, like their team on the floor, could offer no rebuttal.

DeCock:  Anthony Stewart came into the dressing room after practice with his practice jersey soaked from neck to waist. One of his Carolina Hurricanes teammates had loosened the cap on a water bottle on the bench and then vanished.
