RALEIGH -- Court officials set bail at $1 million each this morning for two Raleigh men accused of meeting two underage Yadkin County girls through a chat line and then having sex with them.
Joshua Vincent Bryant, 30, and Stephen Holland Sr., 25, of 7001 Breckenridge Ave., are each accused of one count of statutory rape and one count of statutory sex offense.
According to a search warrant made public today, Holland confessed to the crime.
The girls were 15 and 12 years old.
A Wake County sheriff's deputy first saw the girls Wednesday night around 11 p.m. at a Fast Fare convenience store in the 7100 block of Six Forks Road, according to the search warrant filed this morning at the Wake County Clerk of Courts Office.
The deputy reported that he was assisting the children, who he described in the search warrant as runaways.
The deputy requested assistance from Raleigh police and the teens told the officers they had consensual sex with Bryant and Holland at the mens' home, according to the search warrant.
Police seized items from the home and also obtained blood, hair and saliva from the two men to compare with the victims' rape kits.
The police took a comforter and a section of mattress from the downstairs bedroom of the home. They also recovered three white tank top tee shirts and and bed sheet from an upstairs bedroom, according to the warrant.
Holland and Bryant's first court appearance is tomorrow at 2 p.m., the jail reported.
