There has been another addition on the south end of Raleigh's Glenwood South. Last week, I wrote about Amra's, a jazz club expected to open soon at 106 Glenwood Ave. Just a short hop away, another club is getting ready to open.

Mosaic Wine et Lounge is a Moroccan-themed lounge and bar with decor imported from Morocco. Besides its large wine selection, it will have a full bar. Mosaic won't have a kitchen, though owner Samad Hachby said he plans to strike deals with nearby restaurants to have a food-ordering option.

Mosaic, like Amra's, is expected to open in a few weeks.

Sam Snead's Tavern has pulled out of the Triangle. It once had three locations here, but the final one, on Falls of the Neuse Road in Raleigh's North Ridge Shopping Center, closed Monday. The locations on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh and in Cary's Wellington Shopping Center closed last year.

Pat Casey, who licenses locations for Florida-based Snead's, said a return to the Triangle is not out of the question, though there are no specific plans, and new license owners would have to be found.

At Raleigh's North Hills, Interior Design by Boyles signed a lease for its first Triangle store, which will open in the spring. The store sells furniture and offers interior design services. Also, Highsmith Home opened in the new part-residential, part-retail Alexan portion of North Hills this week, selling home accessories and gifts. Luxe moved into a new space in Alexan that will double the size of the store.

Raleigh resident Victoria Burdett opened a consignment store, "-Esque" in Harvest Oaks Plaza near the intersection of Lead Mine and Strickland roads that sells ladies' apparel, jewelry, home furnishings and decor. The store gets its name from "picturesque, or whatever 'esque' you're into," Burdett said. It's open Tuesday through Saturday.

The area's two Just Fresh restaurants are closed for "management restructuring," according to signs in their windows. The local Just Fresh franchisee did not return phone calls, but management for Poyner Place in North Raleigh and Renaissance Center in Durham said the franchisee will reopen the stores with a new concept, possibly as soon as next month.

Items of note: A new Andy's Cheesesteaks and Cheeseburgers will open in Cary's Harrison Square on Tuesday. ... Fast Lube Plus will open its fourth Wake County location in Morrisville Square in the summer. Located on Morrisville Carpenter Road west of N.C. 54, construction will begin in the spring. ... After 23 years, Carolyn's Hallmark in Raleigh is closing. The store's proprietor, Carolyn Davis, is retiring. She said the store, at 1496 Garner Station Blvd., will close Feb. 15.
