RailHawks women prepare for opener

The Carolina RailHawks women's soccer team will finish preseason practice with a session at 6:30 p.m. today at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary before its W-League season-opening game at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Greensboro against the Carolina Dynamo.

The RailHawks will face off in a friendly scrimmage against the U.S. Armed Forces women's national team at 8 p.m. Tuesday at WRAL Soccer Center in Raleigh.

The RailHawks' W-League home opener will be played at 7:30 p.m. May 16 against the Atlanta Silverbacks. Tickets cost $10, $15 and $20 and can be purchased by calling 859-5425 or by visiting a Ticketmaster outlet.
