The Carolina RailHawks Women controlled play throughout to beat the Hampton Roads Piranhas 4-1 on Saturday night at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. N.C. State standout Lindsay Vera, Duke midfielder Kendall Bradley, Georgia All-America Carrie Patterson and W-League veteran Ali Baker each tallied a goal for the RailHawks (5-3-1).

Kelly Morrison scored in the 81st minute for the Piranhas (3-5) to deny RailHawks goalkeeper Molly Baird her first shutout of the season.
