The Carolina RailHawks and the Portland Timbers played to a 0-0 tie late Thursday night in Portland, Ore.

The RailHawks were not able to take advantage of a red card given to Portland's Chris Brown late in the first half for elbowing defender David Stokes in the face, leaving the Timbers a man down for most of the second half. Stokes was shown a red card in the 78th minute, bringing the team numbers level again.

The RailHawks continue their road trip today in Vancouver. The match can be seen on www.usllive.com. The team returns home to host Vancouver at 8 p.m. on Aug. 1 at WakeMed Soccer Park. For tickets, call (919) 859-5425, visit a Ticketmaster outlet or go to www.carolinarailhawks.com.
