Carolina RailHawks captain and defender Frankie Sanfilippo is among 11 United Soccer Leagues players who earned weekly honors announced Tuesday. Sanfilippo was chosen for his performance in a 0-0 draw against the Portland Timbers this past Thursday.

The RailHawks return to action at 8 p.m. Friday when they host the Vancouver Whitecaps at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary in the second of four nationally televised games on the Fox Soccer Channel.
