I am crazy about the Mediterranean-style Tuna Salad at Neomonde Deli, but I have never been brave enough to try to replicate it on my own. Could you try to get the recipe?
— S.T., Raleigh
The granddaddy of area Middle Eastern eateries, Neomonde opened in 1977 and now boasts two locations in the Triangle: the original in Raleigh (3817 Beryl Road; 828-1628; www.neomonde.com) and a second, smaller eatery that opened four years ago in Morrisville (10235 Chapel Hill Road; 466-8100). Lisa Saleh, whose husband, Mounir, is one of the three Saleh brothers who founded Neomonde, provides the recipe. Tuna salad is especially suitable for warm weather, and since it’s simple to make, S.T. will be happy to know that it doesn’t require any special bravery to make.
