Gunshot kills man in Durham

DURHAM - Police are investigating a possible homicide on the south side of town overnight.

Someone reported hearing gunshots at 3020 Weaver St., near Cornwallis Road, about 2:30 a.m. When police arrived, they discovered the body of an unidentified black man in a vehicle, dead from a gunshot wound.

Police have released no other information about the man, the vehicle or the circumstances around his death. They ask anyone with information about the case to call Durham Crimestoppers at 683-1200 or Detective C. Robinson at 560-4440, ext. 264.
