RALEIGH - Raleigh police were searching Sunday for a man they say shot and killed Roberto Torres-Cruz in Southeast Raleigh on Saturday.

They have obtained an arrest warrant charging Reynaldo "Ray" Zamora-Marcial, 26, with the murder of Torres-Cruz, 21, of Raleigh.

Police were called to the 3100 block of Woodpecker Court, near Poole and Sunnybrook roads, shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived at the scene, they found Torres-Cruz outdoors, dead from a gunshot wound.

Police said Zamora-Marcial was last seen wearing a white polo shirt with dark brown stripes, blue jean shorts, white tennis shoes and white socks. He was said to have recently had a thin blond mustache. His hair may be spiked, and he may have sideburns that extend to the level of his ear lobes.

Police said that Zamora-Marcial is known to associate with two men who may have seen him since the crime and may be accompanying him:

* Raul Zamora-Marcial, 26. He is Ray Zamora-Marcial's brother.

* Alejandro Noyola-Marcial, 29, who may also be known as Alejandro Marcial-Noyola.

All three men live in Raleigh and may be connected to a vehicle described as a cream-colored Ford Explorer, police said.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the suspect or either of the associates or who has other information that might assist the investigation is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department's Detective Division at 890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at 226-2746..
