Consider the beavers

I'm 10 years old and I'm in fourth grade. While I was scanning over the paper the Eno River article caught my eye ("Eno beavers slow the flow," Nov. 14). I started reading, then tears filled my eyes. All because people are ripping up beaver dams.

It's as if you are going to work one day and coming home and your yard is a wreck. (But you can't rebuild as fast as them.)

Beavers have been my favorite animal ever since the beaver year at the Eno River Festival. Then in third grade I did a report on them and found the fun, playful and happy side of them. Please tell the people ripping up dams what I'm telling you.
