The Viva Raleigh Festival will take place from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Moore Square in downtown Raleigh. The festival, organized by the city of Raleigh and a committee of residents, will be a daylong celebration of the Latino culture with music and food, live performances by local and internationally known artists, arts and crafts, and organizations offering information to better the lifestyle and health of Latinos in Raleigh.
Capital Area Transit will provide free transportation from noon to midnight to all festival-goers. If you would like to participate as a volunteer, sponsor a booth or get more information, call Aracelys Torrez at 831-6099 or Luis Olivieri-Robert at 831-6124.
