RALLY TIME: Nathan Haynes capped a rally over the final two innings with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, lifting the Durham Bulls past the Charlotte Knights on Sunday evening at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The Bulls scored a run in the eighth on Jon Weber's sacrifice fly to tie it at 2-2, then won it in the ninth.
After Knights reliever D.J. Carrasco started the ninth by striking out consecutive Bulls, Reid Brignac doubled to right field. Hector Gimenez was intentionally walked and then Haynes delivered the winning single to center field.
Juan Salas (3-2) pitched two perfect innings for the win, striking out four.
