If North Carolina returns to the Final Four next season, the Heels will already have a good feel for Detroit's Ford Field.

The Tar Heels will play Michigan State at the 2009 Final Four site on Dec. 3 as part of the 10th ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the leagues announced Tuesday.

In addition, Duke will play at Purdue and Wake Forest will host Indiana.

N.C. State will not be a part of the 11-game men's basketball event because it finished last in the ACC this season. The ACC, which has won all nine of the annual matchups, has a dozen teams; the Big Ten has 11.

The games will be shown on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU.
