Joe Webb ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns to lead UAB to a 41-24 win over Tulane on Saturday at New Orleans.
Webb, who completed 15 of 21 passes for 154 yards, scored on runs of 31, 3 and 1 yard for the Blazers 3-7, 2-4 Conference USA). Kevin Sanders had two interceptions.
The Blazers host East Carolina next Saturday.
J.T. McDonald accounted for three touchdowns, scoring on 3- and 13-yard runs and catching a 27-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Moore for Tulane (2-8, 1-5).
UAB, which led by three points at halftime, extended its lead to 24-14 on Webb's 3-yard touchdown run with 9:14 left in the third quarter. The score was set up by Sanders interception and 34-yard return to the Tulane six.
The Green Wave got within 24-21 on McDonald's 13-yard touchdown run with 6:47 left in the third quarter.

UCF 30, MARSHALL 14: Sha'reff Rashad intercepted two passes to lead Central Florida (3-7, 2-4 C-USA) over Marshall (4-6, 3-3).
Rashad's interceptions led to two 24-yard field goals for the Knights. The second one, coming late in the third quarter, set up the score to give UCF a two- possession lead and help snap a four-game losing streak.
UCF punter Blake Clingan sealed the game in the fourth quarter when he scrambled on fourth-and-4 from his own 30-yard line for a first down.
Clingan also picked up a fumbled snap and ran 16 yards for a first down in the first quarter.
Darius Marshall had 142 yards on 16 carries for Marshall.
UCF's Brynn Harvey had 33 carries for 150 yards and scored his first career touchdown on a 50-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The teams combined to complete only 11 passes in 46 attempts.
