KEY MATCHUP

UNC forward Tyler Hansbrough has struggled against Kentucky the past two seasons, scoring 13 points on 3-for-15 shooting in two victories.

"I may not have played my best games [against the Wildcats], but we still won those games,'' Hansbrough said Friday. He'll likely face freshman Patrick Patterson, who is averaging 15.8 points and 8.8 rebounds and has said he is eager to face Hansbrough. The All-America is averaging 21.3 ppg and 9.3 rpg.

* Kentucky leads all NCAA Division I schools with 1,952 victories all-time. Carolina is second with 1,920.

* This marks the last meeting in the eight-year deal between the schools, although first-year Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie and UNC coach Roy Williams have agreed to extend the series.
