DURHAM — Duke rising sophomore guard Greg Paulus had successful surgery to remove a bone chip from his left wrist performed this morning, his mother Denise confirmed this afternoon.

Paulus, who led the ACC in assists with 5.2 per game, played with a brace on his left wrist throughout the 2005-06 season. Paulus played through the injury and started all but three games for the Blue Devils this season.

The 2006 ACC champion Devils finished 32-4 and lost to LSU in the Sweet 16 of the 2006 NCAA Tournament last week.
