Carolina Hurricanes center Eric Staal has been named to the NHL All-Star roster for a third straight year and will play for the Eastern Conference in the game Jan. 25 in Montreal's Bell Centre.
Staal won MVP honors a year ago in Atlanta, scoring two goals and adding an assist as the Eastern Conference All-Stars won 8-7.
Staal, 24, has 18 goals and 13 assists this season and has played in 320 consecutive games for the Hurricanes.
