closeWAKE FOREST -- Wake Forest-Rolesville treated a large homecoming crowd to a solid, well-rounded Cap Seven win.
Enloe (3-4, 0-2) racked up a lot of yards and points in non-conference games, but the Eagles, who lost to Leesville Road on Monday night, found the going tough against the Cougars' defense.
WF-R's offense continued to show improvement, scoring touchdowns on its first four possessions to take a 28-3 halftime lead.

The 6-0 Cougars' running game netted 420 yards. Speedster Trea Jones had 12 carries for 199 yards, with touchdown runs of 81, 18 and 3 yards. Robert Kosanke had 11 rushes for 111 yards and Brexton Young gained 80 yards on 11 attempts.
"The biggest thing is the offensive line has gotten better," WF-R coach Earl Smith said of center Taylor Hansen, guards Charlie Graber and Zach Renn, tackles Alex Mao and Tyler Buckley and blocking tight end Matt Willey. "And [quarterback] Tim Hartman is showing leadership.
"Defensively, the key was we were able to get them in a lot of second and 10s and second and 11s," Smith said. "Rishard Cotton did a good job against the run."
"[Quarterback, punter] Matt Jurek played well and Paul Constantine [seven catches, 101 yards] did a good job catching the ball for us," Enloe coach Ron Clark said.
