Parents and students, as you're completing your summer reading lists, don't forget to comb through the Wake County Public School System's 2008-09 student/parent handbook.
The handbooks are a must-read. They provide information on the district's policies, including student assignment, school disciplinary policies, testing schedules and promotion and graduation requirements.
The handbooks can be downloaded in English and Spanish and are available on the district's Web site, www.wcpss.net.
