One of the better ways in which I am spending time and energy these days is taking part in a workshop based on the book "Halftime: Changing your game plan from success to significance."
As the book's title implies, it's about having a more meaningful impact in the second half of our lives. (It's written by Bob Buford, who left a successful corporate career to help and minister to others.)
The workshop -- which, by the way, is led by Sanderson High School English teacher Tim Gillespie -- is not limited to any particular age; it's up to participants to decide whether they've reached halftime in their lives. In a recent session, we began riffing on the question: How do you know it's halftime?
