Habitat for Humanity and Wool E. Bull are hosting the first Bull Moon Ride tonight with an eye toward making this an annual event in Durham. The event, which will roll off at 8:30 p.m. from the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, is a unique night ride for cyclists of all abilities.

Cyclists will experience downtown sites as well as Duke Chapel as the sun sets, then return to the ballpark on the American Tobacco Trail as the moon rises.

With a choice of a 17- or a 6-mile route, the ride is planned for families and children 10 and older. The event is fully supported and will have police escorts. The registration fee is $20 for adults and $10 for children. Registration opens at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Habitat.
