‘Black Lives Matter’ painted on Confederate statue in Durham

Durham County workers Tuesday morning scrubbed the spray-painted slogan “Black Lives Matter” from a statue of a Confederate soldier outside the county's offices in the old courthouse building on East Main Street. The same slogan also was added to the “Silent Sam” Confederate statue at UNC-Chapel Hill earlier this month.

Wake County schools to open with TA jobs uncertain
