Grocery options in flux

Filling furniture niche

Glenwood South might be known for entertainment, but Raleigh architect Louis Cherry wants it to be known for modern furnishings too. He's opening Cherry Modern Furnishings in early May in the old Playspace location at Glenwood Avenue and North Street. The store will include a selection from sectional sofas to china, silverware and glassware. Much of it will come from international industrial designers who don't sell anywhere between Atlanta and Washington.
