* Expect techies to line up Friday morning at the Apple stores in Raleigh and Durham as the new iPhone hits the market. It's less expensive than its predecessor and works over 3G, or third generation, faster wireless networks. Despite a volatile U.S. economy, Lehman Bros. analyst Ben Reitzes predicts big buzz for the iPhone when it goes on sale at 8 a.m.

Last year's iPhone launch, which happened in the evening, had Apple devotees camping outside stores in anticipation.
