Falcon Engineering in Cary is merging with Tierra North Carolina, a geotechnicial and materials testing firm in Raleigh. The new organization will retain the name Falcon Engineering. Tommy Faulkner will remain as chief executive officer. Margaret Robertson was named chief operating officer of the combined company. Falcon's leadership team also includes Trevor Winnell, vice president, structural engineer and inspections manager, Josh Dunbar, vice president and environmental engineering manager, and Gabe Lang, vice president and geotechnical engineering manager.

Engineering firm Tisfoon Ulterior Systems moved to new offices at 1020 Southhill Drive in Cary. Pete Lederman, director of sales, was hired to help facilitate growth of the company.
