David Jones has become a partner at Southern Capitol Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm in Raleigh.

Eileen Walsh was named branch manager in the Falls of Neuse office of real estate company Allen Tate Co. in Raleigh.

Susanna Russell of Raleigh joined the American Heart Association as director of corporate relations, Go Red For Women. The Go Red For Women campaign raises awareness and funds to fight heart disease.

Jerry Ernst has been named district manager in the Raleigh branch of the South Central Division of AXA Advisors, a financial services firm.

Greg Ginn was appointed vice president of biostatistics and data management at Stat-Tech Services, a Chapel Hill contract research organization serving the medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

Eric D. Lester has been promoted to senior vice president at IAVO Research and Scientific in Durham. IAVO specializes in software and services in the areas of data fusion, behavioral sciences and geosciences, mostly for the U.S. government.

Matthew Weisensee joined RadarFind as the vice president of sales and business development, Stephen Snell joined as the director of hardware engineering, and Ryan Bloom joined as the director of software development. RadarFind is a health care technology company in Morrisville.

James "Jim" M. O'Brien III, partner and head of Poyner & Spruill's entertainment law practice group, has been appointed to the N.C. Film Council. O'Brien works from the Raleigh and Charlotte offices of Poyner & Spruill.

Pongsak Denpattanapitak joined JDavis Architects in Raleigh as senior project designer.

Thomas Hurley joined the Atlantic Coast Business Center of the Principal Financial Group in Raleigh as a financial representative of Principal Life Insurance Co.

Brian C. Groesser, Kevin B. Hicks and Daniel N. Kluttz have joined as associate attorneys at Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham, a law firm with offices in Raleigh and Asheville.

Michael Bucheit was hired as executive vice president of corporate development and Robert McCarthy as executive vice president of sales and marketing at Consonus Technologies in Cary. Consonus provides information technology infrastructure, data center, and managed services solutions.

Rachel Aiken was hired as public relations account coordinator at Genesis Marketing Partners, a marketing, advertising and public relations agency in Cary.

Gregory Ng joined Brooks Bell Interactive in Raleigh as vice president and creative director and Robb Czyzewski joined as vice president of finance and operations. Brooks Bell Interactive specializes in creating online direct response campaigns for its clients.
