70 jobs being added at Nash food plant

NASHVILLE -- A North Carolina food preparation company plans to add 70 jobs at its cheese converting and distribution plant as it adds a new line of vegetarian soups and chili.

Gov. Mike Easley's office said Thursday that American Food Resources plans to invest $3 million and add 70 jobs at its Nash County plant in the next three years.The plant chops, shreds, blends, and packages millions of pounds of cheese every month for commercial food and retail customers. It opened in January 2005.
