Internet phone pioneer Vonage will issue $3 million in refunds to dissatisfied customers in North Carolina and other states under an agreement with 32 state regulators announced Monday.
The refunds are part of a settlement over complaints alleging that the company refused to cancel service after a trial period.
About 65 people in North Carolina complained to the state attorney general. Those customers were typically owed $100 to $150, said attorney generalspokeswoman Noelle Talley.
To qualify for the refund, North Carolina consumers must file a complaint by March 16, 2010. The forms are available at www.ncdoj.gov or at 877-566-7226.
