Talis Management Group, a homeowners association management company, held its fourth annual Charity Golf Tournament at Brier Creek Country Club to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Since 2004, Talis tournaments have raised more than $60,000 for Habitat for Humanity of Wake, Chatham, Orange and Durham counties. Roofwerks, a Raleigh residential roofing company, donated $1,080 to The Talis Management Charity to benefit Habitat for Humanity.
FlightGest and Noverant, Raleigh firms owned by Frank and Ann Gozzo, have underwritten the 2007-08 Carolina Performing Arts Jazz Series at UNC-Chapel Hill with a gift of cash and in-kind support totaling $60,000.
SAS, the Cary software company, raised $15,600 to help Communities in Schools of Wake County provide tutoring, one-on-one mentoring, wellness and esteem-building programs to more than 1,000 at-risk students. CIS Wake also received backpacks and school supplies from Fidelity Investments valued at $9,000 for 225 students; The Women's Reach Network at John Deere valued at $2,250 for 50 students; Kilpatrick Stockton valued at $1,275 for 35 students; and Cary Church of Christ valued at $2,870 for 80 students.
