CARY - BrightDoor Systems, which sells software for real estate developers and home builders, has raised $2 million in financing.

The Cary company employs 25 workers and will use the money to add four or five salespeople and software developers this year, said Michael Worthington, who co-founded BrightDoor in 2005 with CEO Deven K. Spear and now is the company's chief marketing officer.

Its software is designed to help home builders boost sales by generating leads and analyzing customer data. BrightDoor has raised $4.1 million so far. Investors include IDEA Fund Partners of Durham, WWC Capital of Reston, Va., and Comprehensive Financial Management of Los Gatos, Calif.
