Technology entrepreneur Ryan Allis has a goal for today: Sell 2,500 books.The 23-year-old co-founder of iContact, a $10 million-a-year software company in Durham that counts Bank of America among its 18,000 customers, sent out a pitch by e-mail Tuesday morning.His new book, "Zero to One Million," just went on sale and he wants attention."We are trying to get the book to No. 1 on Amazon," the e-mail reads. "I would like to sincerely ask for your assistance to reach this lifetime goal."What's in it for you, you might ask?Some face-time with Allis if you have at least 250 acquaintances or an extra room in your house.Buy five copies, which cost $11.53 each, and Allis promises a video with tips on how to get financing. Buy 50 copies and you get a 15-minute strategy phone call with him. Take home 250 and you can visit his office for a "day-long mastermind strategy session." Go for 500 and you'll get an invitation to his quarterly meeting of "mastermind group of millionaire entrepreneurs."Allis, who aspires to change the world, says proceeds from book sales will go to The Humanity Campaign, the non-profit organization that he founded. It aims to reduce poverty and hunger by increasing access to education, healthcare and technology.
