511", 165 lb. freshman guard from Upper Marlboro, MD (Oak Hill Academy/Gonzaga). Averaged 6.7 points and 5.0 assists in 25 games for Oak Hill. Played for the U-18 USA team in 2012.
Nate Britt
Leslie McDonald
6'5", 215 lb. senior guard from Memphis (Briarcrest Christian School). Averaged 7.2 points per game last season, shooting 35.9 percent from three-point range.
Kennedy Meeks
6'9", 290 lb. freshman forward from Charlotte (West Charlotte). A McDonald's All-America, also played in the Jordan Brand Classic and the Nike Global Challenge and a was a 3-time all-state selection. Averaged 19 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks per game his senior year.
6', 175 lb. junior guard from Raleigh (Ravenscroft). Transferred from Gardner-Webb after 2010-11 season. Had 24 assists and seven turnovers in 24 games for the Tar Heels last season.
Luke Davis
6'1", 175 lb. sophomore guard from Marion, Iowa (Linn-Mar). Named to the ACC's All-Academic and All-Freshman teams. Started 34 games last season at point guard, averaging 8.2 points and 4.6 assists per game. Led the team in FT percentage (.836), and all ACC freshmen in assists (161).
Marcus Paige
6'9", 210 lb. sophomore forward from Orangeburg, S.C. (Edisto). Played in all 36 games last season averaging 5.4 points per game, shooting a team-high 51.1% from the field.
Brice Johnson
J.P. Tokoto
6'5", 200 lb. sophomore forward from Menomonee Falls, WI (Menomonee Falls). Averaged 2.6 points and 1.7 rebounds per game last season. The J.P stands for Jean-Pierre.
6'10", 225lb. junior forward from Cream Ridge, N.J. (New Egypt). Started in 18 games last season, leading the team in blocked shots with 30.
Desmond Hubert
P.J. Hairston
6’ 6", 220 lb. junior guard from Greensboro (Hargrave Military Academy). Suspended by coach Roy Williams to begin the season. Led the Heels in scoring last season, averaging 14.6 points per game. Was team-leader in 3-pointers with 89.
6'7", 225 lb. junior forwrd from Webster, N.C. (Smoky Mountain). Scored 54 points in 32 games last season, with career-highs in points (8) and minutes (21) against Boston College.
Jackson Simmons
6'8", 220 lb. freshman forward from Oxford (J.F. Webb). Associated Press 2013 Player of the Year in North Carolina, Parade and McDonald's All-American. Averaged 22.9 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.6 blocks last season, leading his team to 3A state title where he was named MVP.
Isaiah Hicks

6'6", 220 lb. senior forward from Carrboro (Chapel Hill). A walk-on who joined the varsity team in October 2012 after two years on the JV squad. Played in 12 games last season, scoring four points and grabbing 3 rebounds.
Denzel Robinson
6'4", 220 lb. senior forward from Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill). A walk-on who joined the varsity team in October 2012 after two years on the JV squad. Played in 12 games last season, scoring two points with four rebounds.
6'10", 280 lb. sophomore forward from West Palm Beach, FL. (Dwyer). Averaged 2.3 points and 2.4 reboiunds in 30 games last season. Had a season-high 11 points and eight boards against Florida Atlantic.
Joel James
James Michael McAdoo
6'9", 230 lb. junior forward from Norfolk, Va. (Norfolk Christian). Led the Tar Heels in rebounding (7.3) and steals (54) and was second in scoring with 14.4 per game last season. Had a career-high 26 points and 14 rebounds against Gardner-Webb last November.
Wade Moody
6', 175 lb. senior guard from Mount Airy (Mount Airy). A walk-on who joined the varsity team in October 2012 after playing on the JV squad his sophomore year. Had five points in 13 games last season.
Hall of Fame coach in his 11th season as head coach of the Tar Heels. Has two NCAA Championships at UNC (2005, 2009) with a 700-180 record entering the season. His teams at UNC and Kansas have won 79.5% of their games, second all-time winning percentage to Kentucky's Adolph Rupp. A 1972 UNC graduate from Asheville.
