Spencer Catherine Busby and Kenneth Evan Menzel were united in marriage on May 30, 2015 at six o’clock in the evening at First United Methodist Church in Cary, North Carolina. The Reverend H. William Green officiated the ceremony. A reception followed, hosted by the parents of the bride, at the Carolina Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Angus Barn.
The bride is the daughter of Major General and Mrs. William Storey Busby, III of Raleigh, NC. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Royall Martin, Jr. of Cary, NC and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Storey Busby, II of Cary, NC.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Barry Menzel of Seven Lakes, NC, formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Evan Huyett Magee of Haddonfield, NJ and the late Mr. and Mrs. Heinz Gustav Menzel of Voorhees, NJ.
The bride was escorted by her father. Katherine Scott Anderson of Charlotte, NC served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Margaret Guerry Alexander of Atlanta, GA; Lindsay Ashlan Merwarth of Atlanta, GA; and Lauren Ashley Robbins of Raleigh, NC.
Groomsmen were Nathan Monroe Cretarolo of Raleigh, NC; Gregory Leyden deWolf and Jeremy Wolf Messler of Cherry Hill, NJ; and Quinn John Tamm, III of Newport Beach, CA.

The bride graduated from Saint Mary’s School in Raleigh, NC and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She earned her Master of Management Studies degree from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club at the 2007 North Carolina Debutante Ball.
The groom graduated from Cherry Hill High School West in Cherry Hill, NJ and received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in Political Science at Gettysburg College, where he was a member of Alpha Chi Rho fraternity. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree at Wake Forest University School of Law.
