Anna Elizabeth McNeill and David Justin Oliver III of Raleigh, NC were married at The First Baptist Church in Whiteville, NC on Saturday May 16, 2015 at 5:30pm.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The Reverend William Francis Malambri, III of Florence, SC, cousin of the groom, officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Albert McNeill, Junior of Whiteville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sam P. Stanley, Junior and the late Mr. Stanley and Mr. John Albert McNeill, Senior and the late Mrs. Margaret Powell McNeill all of Whiteville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Justin Oliver, II of Marietta, NC. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Ernest Oliver of Marietta and Mrs. Ralph Britt and the late Mr. Britt of Fairmont.
Matron of Honor was Jenny McNeill Purvis of Wilmington, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Katherine Brindell Diefes of Raleigh, Eliza Smith Dunn of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Margaret Marie Hodgson, Heather Hooks Holmes, Lara Beach McNeill all of Wilmington, Janna Neisler Myers of Raleigh, and Catherine Clark Oliver of Ocean Isle Beach, sister of the groom.
David Justin Oliver, II served as best man. Groomsmen were George Tyler Bowery of Huntersville, NC, James Trevor Johnson, Tyler Henderson Knowles, Gregory Michael Kuruc, Jonathan Craig Stanley all of Raleigh, Benjamin Bryant Long of Scotland Neck, Robert Benjamin McNeill of Wilmington, brother of the bride, and Benjamin Chase Smith of Rural Hall, NC.
The Ring bearer was William McNeill Purvis, nephew of the bride.
Program attendants were Abigail Frances Balter, Benjamin Lachlan Balter, Rachel Marie Chambers, Erin Elizabeth McNeill and Samantha Caroline McNeill all of Wilmington and cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. A rehearsal dinner and party, hosted by the parents of the groom and Ann Oliver, aunt of the groom, were held at Vineland Depot. The Bridesmaids Luncheon was held at the Madison House and hosted by Juanita Stanley, grandmother of the bride and Gretta Evans, Lana Stanley and Kathy Watkins, all aunts of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and the Campbell University Wiggins School of Law and is employed by Young, Moore and Henderson of Raleigh. She was presented by the Cotillion Club of Whiteville in 2003 and the Terpsichorean Club in 2004.
The groom is a graduate of North Carolina State University and East Carolina University with a Master’s of Public Health and is employed by Liberty Healthcare in Raleigh.
After a honeymoon to Riviera Maya Mexico, the couple resides in Raleigh.
