Eliza Eborn Bridgers and John Kole Eaton were married at six o’clock in the evening November 28, 2015 at The Merrimon-Wynne House in Raleigh. The Rev. Philip R. Byrum officiated. Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at The Merrimon-Wynne House.The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sherrie Senter Bridgers and Mr. Charles Harper Bridgers of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Fredrick Senter, the late Mr. Fredrick Senter, the late Mrs. Dorothy Carr Harper Bridgers, and the late Mr. William Ashley Bridgers, Sr. She graduated from Peace College and works at Gwynn & Edwards, PA in Raleigh. The bride was presented at the Terpsichorean Ball of North Carolina in 2004.The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kelly Eaton of Wilmington. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis John Rizzo and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Keller Eaton. He graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, obtained his Master's in Teaching and is studying for his Masters of Business Administration at North Carolina State University. His is currently teaching at Wake Early College of Health and Sciences.The bride was escorted by her father. Anna Jane Franklin of Raleigh served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Gardner Kirkland Orr, Mary Kaitland Davis, Elizabeth Tatum Russell, Lane Garrett Russell, all of Raleigh, Hannah Brown Davis of Wilson, Kathryn Silks Blackburn of Henderson, Lauren Elam Eddins of Zebulon, Mary Riddick Stallworth of Atlanta, GA, and Kara Eaton Dean of Lynchburg, VA.James Kelly Eaton served as best man. Groomsmen included Charles Harper Bridgers, Jr. of Raleigh, brother of the bride, Adam Wesley Dean of Lynchburg, VA, brother-in-law of the groom, Zachary Harris Robbins, Justin Todd Matthews, Clarke Alexander Mansfield, Joseph Neil McDonald, and Robert Daniel McAllister, all of Raleigh. Greeters were Susan Lindeman Edgar and Georgiana Belknap Edgar, cousins of the bride. The crucifer was William Shepherd Edgar, also cousin of the bride. Sarah Peters Allgood served as reader.Friends and family of the bride and groom hosted an oyster roast at The North Hills Club the evening before the wedding. Earlier that day, a bridesmaids’ luncheon was hosted at the home of and by Molly Russell, Lane Russell, and Tate Russell. Following a wedding trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico the couple will reside in Raleigh.
