Members of the North Carolina Symphony will present a string quartet by Franz Schubert in an unlikely locale Thursday: Kings in downtown Raleigh.
The show is part of an effort to reach new audiences, and it features violinists Karen Strittmatter and Jackie Wolborsky, violist Amy Mason and cellist Nathaniel Yaffe with Raleigh producer/artist blursome.
The group will perform the String Quartet No. 14 in D minor, known as “Death and the Maiden,” in a modern context. The cover charge is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. For more information, go to www.ncsymphony.org.
