American concert pianist and longtime Nonesuch recording artist Richard Goode is noted for his expressive interpretations of classical and romantic period works. His recital Friday night in Duke’s Baldwin Auditorium offers evidence in the form of two Schubert sonatas (Nos. 19 & 20), one by Beethoven (No. 10) and, for a dash of atonality, Schoenberg’s “Six Little Pieces.” 8 p.m. $42-$48 ($15 for ages 30 and under). 919-684-4444 or dukeperformances.duke.edu.
