The N.C. Symphony plays a doubleheader Russian festival this weekend at Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre. Friday, guest conductor Karina Canellakis leads Jinjoo Cho in Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto along with works by Shostakovich, Borodin and Rimsky-Korsakov. On Saturday night, Canellakis conducts Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade” and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 (Sean Chen, soloist). 7:30 p.m.
